ACT Parks & Preserves

In addition to facilitating the protection of thousands a of acres of conservation land across North Central Florida, ACT also owns and manages more than 6,000 acres. Our public preserves are currently located in Alachua and Marion counties and most are free to access from sunrise to sunset.

This map below includes parks and preserves managed by ACT that are open to the public and can be accessed by road. Additional access information for each location can be found by clicking on the images below the map.

Public Parks & Preserves

The following conservation properties are open to the public.

General rules and guidelines for all ACT parks and preserves are as follows:

  • Preserves are open from sunrise to sunset.

  • Dogs are welcome as long as they remain on a leash.

  • Trails are unpaved and in some places can be muddy, uneven, or wet.

  • Drones are not permitted without permission from ACT.

  • Motorized vehicles are prohibited.

Parks & Preserves Updates

  • January 3, 2024: The swimming area at Rock Bluff Springs (J.H. Anderson, Jr. Memorial Park) is closed due to high water levels. The hiking trails and parking remain open.
