Wild Spaces & Public Places is a citizen’s initiated referendum to adopt a half-cent sales tax, limited to two years, that will fund environmental lands purchases and park and recreational improvements.

Wild Spaces funding will:
—protect our water and environmental resources
—purchase land only from willing sellers
—renew Alachua County Forever, which has protected 12,000 acres, but is running out of funds

Public Places funding will:
—improve parks and recreation facilities in every city and the county
—build a Senior Recreation Center
—only be used for facilities on a pre-approved list
