Join us for the 2021 Swamp Otter Virtual 5K & Solo Run hosted by the City of Hawthorne, Friends of Little Orange Creek, and Alachua Conservation Trust. Between April 9-30, 2021, participants can run or walk on a pre-marked course at Little Orange Creek Preserve or complete a 3.11-mile course at a location of your choosing. Proceeds benefit future conservation, public recreation, and environmental education.
STARTING LOCATION
Little Orange Creek Preserve - Located on the north side of Highway 20 across from Little Orange Creek Nature Park, 24115 SE Hawthorne Road, Hawthorne, FL 32640.
RACE DETAILS
Virtual or solo options: Run or walk at Little Orange Creek Preserve on a pre-marked course between April 9-30, 2020 or at a location of your choosing. Runners/walkers can submit their results online by April 30, 2021 at 11:59 PM.
Cost: $25 with race-themed t-shirt included and $15 without a race-themed t-shirt included.
If T-shirt option is selected: Requested size not guaranteed after April 19, 2021. T-shirts can be picked up at Little Orange Creek Nature Park on Saturday, May 1st from 10am-12pm. T-shirts can be mailed after May 1st for an extra fee (please contact us to arrange).
Top 3 overall male and top three overall female finishers receive a longleaf pine seedling to plant at home. Prizes for the top finishers can be picked up at Little Orange Creek Nature Park on Saturday, May 1st from 10am-12pm. Prizes cannot be mailed.
