ABOUT SAWDUST SPRING

Located along the lower Santa Fe River, Sawdust Spring is a 3rd magnitude freshwater spring. The property includes 139 acres surrounding the spring, spring run, as well as almost 1 mile of riverbank along the Santa Fe River.

Sawdust Spring is connected to the Devil’s Ear Spring Priority Focus Area and is also a Florida Forever Project, designating this property as a top conservation priority for our state. The bottomlands are full of karst features, cypress trees, and rain lilies.

In December 2021, ACT closed on this property for $1.5 million with the help of private bridge loans and donations. This project will receive $617,000 in State Springs Funding and the remainder of the purchase price will be paid off with additional donations and grants.

Currently, the spring is only accessible by kayak or canoe from the Santa Fe River.
