Monday/Wednesday Interns
Tristen Ladika
Tristen is a third year Wildlife Ecology and Conservation major from Jupiter, Florida. She is passionate about conservation education, ecology, and sustainability. In her free time, Tristen enjoys playing beach volleyball, watching basketball, hiking, and bonfires. She is grateful for this opportunity to expand upon her fieldwork skills and learn more about Florida ecosystems.
Courtney Carroll
Courtney is a Senior at UF majoring in Sustainability Studies and Criminology. She is from South Florida and has always loved plants, animals, and nature. She is passionate about environmental justice, climate change, and conservation, and hopes to pursue a career in these areas. In her free time, she enjoys exploring Gainesville’s outdoors, doing art, and caring for her houseplants.
Tuesday/Thursday Interns
Peyton Kerry
Peyton Kerry is a fourth-year student at University of Florida working towards her Bachelor’s in Natural Resource Conservation. Originally from the Florida Keys, she is interested in gaining experience in land management and learning more about invasive species ecology. In her free time, she enjoys hiking and visiting new places — especially state parks!
Amy Nicholas
Amy is a senior at University of Florida dual majoring in Natural Resources Conservation and Anthropology with a minor in Agricultural and Natural Resource Ethics and Policy. Amy hopes to pursue a career in environmental education program development apart of natural history museums curation. Outside of her studies and time spent with ACT, she enjoys traveling, painting, and participating in local theater.
Maxwell Geller
Max is a first-year student at Santa Fe college on an environmental science degree track, pursuing an eventual master’s in environmental science or related field. He is intensely passionate about ecological health both on land and in water. The natural landscape is a part of almost everything he does professionally and recreationally. Max loves to hike, bike, scuba dive, rock climb, and see the world around him in as many different ways as he can. Max chose the ACT because it aligned with his desires to conserve our invaluable natural resources and provided a great opportunity for him to continue his education in this interest.
Owen Kennedy
Owen is in his final semester as a Sustainability Studies major at the University of Florida. He grew up in the environmentally conscious city of Seattle, Washington, which fostered his passion for ecology and sustainability. He has participated in environmentally focused programs throughout his life, such as Islandwood in Washington and Outward Bound. In his free time, he enjoys playing video games, as well as training combat sports.
Angelica Sandulescu
I am a third year Environmental Management in Agriculture & Natural Resources major from Orlando, Florida. My hobbies include hiking, dirt biking, and camping. I’m interested in one day working in research or as an environmental consultant.
