Alachua Conservation Trust and First Magnitude Brewing Company to host 2023 Cycling for our Springs

Gainesville, Florida – The Alachua Conservation Trust (“ACT”) is hosting the 2023 Cycling for our Springs on November 11th 10am-5pm. Hop on your bikes and ride with ACT and First Mag down the Hawthorne Trail and back to First Magnitude for food, live music, vendors, and most importantly beer! Proceeds from this event will go towards springs protection and conservation on the Santa Fe and Suwannee rivers.

The event features two bike routes, the first is a 5 mile route beginning at First Magnitude riding to Sweetwater Outlook and back and the second is a 16 miles loop that begins at First Magnitude rides to Alachua Conservations Trust’s Prairie Creek Preserve and back. When you return from the ride hang around in the beer garden to listen to good music, shop local vendors, grab a bite from the food truck, and talk to springs conservation groups. This event is generously sponsored by The Knot.

The Adult registration includes an entry into the ride, a "Cycling for our Springs" sticker, tote, and a "Cycling for our Springs" Pint Glass with one pour of First Mag Beer. The Bike Lite registration includes entry into the ride, a "Cycling for our Springs" sticker, and tote. "After a successful Cycling for Our Springs event in 2022, ACT is thrilled to host the second annual event this year in partnership with First Magnitude Brewing Co.," said ACT associate director Heather Obara. "Over 100 cyclists are expected for this year's event, which supports springs conservation along the Suwannee and Santa Fe rivers. These rivers serve as critical habitat for wildlife in North Central Florida and a source of passive recreation for many."
